CAREER AND EDUCATION
MY CAREER
I have been a freelance translator since 1994. My professional experience is primarily in the following fields:
- Translations and proofreading for companies, private individuals, and agencies in various fields: law, medical, pharmaceutical, economics, technical, sports, art history, and commercial.
- Terminologist: External collaborator of TERMCAT, the Terminology Center of Catalonia, for the development of vocabularies in Catalan (fields: Engineering, Industry, Technology, Renewable Energy, Economics, Medicine, Sports, Biology). Proofreading in Catalan, Spanish, English, French, and German.
- Book translation (medicine, sports, education, and children’s books).
- Translation of medical yearbooks (cardiology, hypertension, gyneacology).
Previous experience:
European Office of Language Services in Barcelona: Translator and proofreader. Transcription of sessions of the Catalan Parliament.
Macfi SA, Phoenix Group AG: Executive Secretary. Technical and commercial translations from German, English, and French into Spanish.
El Vendrell City Council Information and Tourism Office (Tarragona, Spain): Guided tours in German at the Pau Casals Museum.

- Degree in Translation and Interpretation in French and German into Spanish by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (EUTI, UAB, 1991)
- Akademisch Geprüfter Übersetzer (Johannes Gutenberg Universität of Mainz, Germany, 1990 – 1 year Erasmus scholarship)
- Licence en Langues Étrangères Appliquées (Université de Bordeaux, France, 1991 – Erasmus scholarship 1 year)
- Degree in Art History by the Universitat de Barcelona (UB, 1995)
